I'm sure I am not the only first-time-mommy to ask "What do I really need to have in my diaper bag ? ". Keep in mind that what you need in your bag depends on how old your child is/ how many children you have, how long you'll be out, where you're going, and how prepared you like to be. As were preparing for the arrival of our first son 'Max' I started doing a little research and have come up with a list of essential items that I thought I would share with all of you.
Diapers
One for each hour
you'll be out, plus a few extra – just in case.
Wipes
You can stick a dozen in a plastic bag or bring the whole pack depending on your personal preference . Not only are wipes great for diaper changes , but they are great for sticky fingers and dirty faces.
Hand sanitizer - when there's no time or place to wash them.
Changing pad
Most diaper bags come with a reusable changing pad, or you can buy it separately. Some parents prefer to use disposable changing pads - again it depends on what your preference is.

Bottle(s) of formula or breast milk if you're bottle-feeding
Snacks (older babies and toddlers)
include a jar of baby food and a spoon, or finger foods.

Blanket
Extra clothes for
your child

your child from harmful UV rays

First-aid kit
New shirt in case of spit-up
or a spill - because accidents happen.
